Self Managed Super Funds

A Self Managed Super Funds (SMSF) is a superannuation fund that commonly has less than 4 members and is run for the sole purpose of having an income stream in retirement.
You should consider starting a SMSF when you find that your current superannuation assets are $150,000 or greater. This is about the stage that fees of a retail super fund begin to be more expensive than SMSF, but Self Managed Super Funds are more accessible on retirement and you are able to better tailor investments to your likes.
